How to Become a Pergo
Endorsed Installer
Pergo, Inc. offers professional training for all installers that wish to receive our corporate endorsement. Below is a description of available Endorsed Installer training options. To view school schedules, please select the "Request Registration Packet" option from the right side navigation menu.
PERGO ENDORSED INSTALLER TRAINING PROGRAM
| Day One: |
Welcome, review course agenda, product knowledge, installation techniques, job site evaluation, floor preparation, estimating, moisture testing, Glueless Plank installation. |
| Day Two: |
Glueless Plank replacement, Narrow Plank installation, Narrow Plank replacement, Tile on Plank installation, transition moldings, wall base installation, stair nose and moldings, role of Endorsed Installer, pride and professionalism. |
Requirements:

Minimum of two years flooring experience

Must have the ability and willingness to use power tools

Attend two day hands-on training class

Successfully complete all hands-on training

Pass written and oral exam

Conduct and performance of a Pergo Endorsed Installer must represent Pergo Inc. in accordance with the Pergo Endorsed Installer Ethics Clause.
Guarantee:
Should any installation by a Pergo Endorsed Installer (PEI) fail due to a non-moisture related installation fault within one year after installation, Pergo, Inc. will provide replacement of the same Pergo product and all system components at no cost to the installer or consumer. In return the PEI agrees to provide labor to repair or replace the faulty installation.
Should a PEI have two claims within twelve months, his/her Endorsement will be terminated and he/she will be required to retake the class. Should a PEI refuse to repair or replace the floor; his/her Endorsement will be equally terminated.
Endorsed Installer membership may be renewed annually. Renewal is based upon the Pergo Endorsed Installer's performance excellence.
Any changes to a PEI's contact information must be reported to Pergo, Inc. within 6 weeks of the change in order to remain active. If Pergo, Inc is unable to contact a PEI due to out-of-date information or if a PEI acts in a manner not in accordance with the PEI ethics clause, the PEI's membership will be deactivated pending further review. An inactive PEI is not entitled to any of the PEI program benefits. PEI benefits are non-transferable.
Logistics:
Pergo, Inc. will provide the training facility, all tools and materials to
complete the training. Costs for hotel rooms and air travel are the student
responsibility. We have made arrangements for preferred rates at a designated
hotel. Certain schools will provide transportation between the designated hotel
and training facility. Each day lunch will be provided in the training center.
Breakfast and dinner are the responsibility of the attendees.
This is a two day course, occurring monthly. Classes are limited to 6
students, taught by a Pergo Training Coordinator. A non-refundable registration
fee is required. Students receive an Installation Essentials Guide, Product
Manual, Installation video and two Pergo Endorsed Installer T-shirts. Graduates
receive a certificate, a wallet card, and an Endorsed Installer PIN number.
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Within one
week receipt of registration form and fee, we will notify you the
next available class.
