Trelleborg, January 2012 – In response to the increasing popularity of longer planks among floor buyers, Pergo’s 2012 assortment of laminate flooring will include several new products offering a design feature called EndlessPlank™. “This is a great new feature that creates the illusion of planks that go on forever,” says Pergo CEO, Ralf Eisermann.
The secret of EndlessPlank™ lies in Pergo’s ability to produce planks with perfectly matching decors and textures that flow continuously from the end of one plank to the start of the next. “The EIR texture in combination with the use of two bevelled edges that run the length of the planks really enhances the effect of never-ending planks,” says Eisermann.
Beginning in 2012, Pergo’s new EndlessPlank™ feature will be offered in four new Oak decors named Honey, Taupe, Barista and Sand. All come in Pergo’s living Expression quality level for use in high-wear domestic environments and moderate-wear public areas and featuring the company’s TitanX™ surface. Other patented technologies found with these floors include PerfectFold™ for easy installation and Compact SoundBloc™ for built-in sound reduction.
